Validity time of the registration certificates depends on country. For any type of product, fertilizers, pesticides or biological products, for both Russia and Belarus, validity time is 10 years. For Georgia, five years. For Ukraine and Kazakhstan, there are two types of registration. First one, which is called experimental or temporary, is granted for two years in the case of lack of studies. Second one is granted for 10 years, and called permanent. The steps to obtaining two year registration in Ukraine and Kazakhstan are different. In Kazakhstan, it should be unique case when no similar products are registered in the country and there is a high need to fight some dangerous, harmful organisms that are rapidly growing, but still you will have to get some recommendations from the Institutes and the similar products has to be registered in the countries of the Customs Union. For Ukraine, it is different. In Ukraine you can even plan to start two year registration first and then switch to 10 years. Some companies do so to spread their budget over the longer period of time, by conducting all the necessary studies during three years instead of one. And this is because some of the studies which are required for 10 year registration are not required for two year registration. Subchronic report on active ingredient is an example.
